Our journey began in 2013 in Woodbridge, Virginia, sparked by a simple yet profound idea from our founder, Chris Savage. As an engineer-turned-entrepreneur, Chris's gift of a Keurig machine inspired him to redefine the tea experience. Dissatisfied with the flavor of standard K-Cups, he embarked on a mission to infuse the convenience of K-Cups with the rich, full-bodied flavors he craved.

True Honey Teas was born from this fusion of innovation and tradition. Our initial Kickstarter campaign was a resounding success, exceeding its goal and marking the start of our exciting journey. Chris’s blend of engineering expertise and passion for tea led him to develop custom machinery at George Mason University, his alma mater, to bring his vision to life.

Since then, True Honey Teas has pivoted towards focusing on tea bags, allowing us to explore a vast landscape of flavors and blends. This shift has enabled us to offer a wider variety of choices to our customers, ranging from classic favorites to innovative new concoctions.
